Now, with the sparkling engagement ring on her finger, the bride-to-be pulls out her ideas and begins to put them into practice. One of the first things she needs to consider are the wedding invitations. They can be handmade, to make them truly memorable, and embossing -- card embosser can make them even more special. Choose a stamp that you would like to use to Make Your card. A number of different stamps can be combined to give a more personal touch to your card. The embossing ink itself is clear, as are the embossing marker and pen. Embossing powders come in a wide variety of colors. Choose colors that will highlight your designs and give you the look you want. Practice with your stamp and powders using the scrap paper. For the best stamp effect, put the stamp on the pad and lightly tap the top. The idea is to ink the stamp without inking it so much that the pattern doesn't come through. Press straight down on the stamp without rubbing or rolling it back and forth, to produce a crisp image. Once you have placed the ink on the paper, immediately cover it with embossing powder. Tap the excess off, using a small paintbrush if necessary. Remove any powder that has not adhered to the inked image. Heat the inked/powdered image using a heat gun. Hold the gun several inches from your paper and move slowly back and forth. The image will begin to rise. Once the image has risen and hardened, you can stop the heat. Allow the design to cool before continuing. Continue practicing with the technique and design until you have the image you wish. Begin designing your invitation. Print the information you'd like to provide on your invitation onto the cardstock before cutting it to size. This information should include the date, time and location of the wedding as well as the location of the reception. If you are doing a layered effect, cut the colored paper to size and glue it onto the cardstock before embossing -- Card Embossing Machine Emboss your design using the techniques above. Once the design is cool, you can check for any area that may not have been raised properly. Fix these areas using the embossing marker or pen. You can also use the marker or pen to create special curls or embellishments. Add ribbon or extra decorative touches to further enhance the card -- card tipper , then get ready to mail.
