Stamp Ornate
I have an upright piano..Albrecht & C0. Is it worth anything?
The piano is upright, has a plate on the front saying Albrecht & Co. It has nice woodwork finishing. Not very ornate but nice.
the inside I found a stamp that says 26029..not sure what this means.

There are so many problems with valuing pianos. When was the last time the piano was tuned? If you don't know and you've had the piano for years or decades you may not find a tech who will tune it. Is your upright a full upright? Size matters with pianos, especially uprights.
Finally, especially during these economic conditions, there isn't much of a market for pianos. There will always be a market for really fine pianos like Steinway or some Yamahas, but uprights are really subject to market forces.
My point is - let's say you've been regularly tuining your piano and caring for it. It's in a good place in your home and hasn't been affected internally by shifts in temperature or humidity. Let's say it's worth $5,000. The problem is - a family looking for an upright could get a new one, like I did, by a name brand company: Baldwin/Hamilton for under $3,000 that's covered by a warranty.
Once you discover the value of it, by searching the web, if you're looking to get rid of it, I would recommend donating it to a school or church. Talk to your accountant to see if it will help you when you do your taxes.
